1957 Aston Martin DB 2/4 MkIII Coupe

It may have been the third series of DB2/4, but Aston dropped the 2/4 nomenclature for its 1957 to 1959 range of saloons and dropheads. The most noticeable change was a more tapering front end topped off by a neater grille, but vertical rear lights were also fitted and the body tidied up. Mechanically, the engine rose marginally in capacity but was made a lot stronger and more powerful at 162bhp. Aston claimed 214bhp was possible with the competition-tuned triple-carb version, but this was probably exaggerated. Front discs standard from late 1957.
