Classic Aston Martin Wreck

Classic Aston Martin Wreck

The luxury classic Aston Martin DB5 was ruined this week after a crash involving a Vauxhall Astra near the traffic lights on Wilmslow Road, just off the M56 near Manchester Airport. The man driving the Aston Martin and his four-year-old son were taken to Wythenshawe hospital with injuries.

The Aston Martin DB5 is most popular for taking the star role alongside Sean Connery as James Bond in the 007 franchise, in the 1964 James Bond classic Goldfinger and by Daniel Craig in 2012's Skyfall. Although the car seems to be a write-off due to the extensive chassis damage at the front and rear of the car, we think that it'll be repaired and put back onto the road, due to teh fact that only 1063 models where produced in 1963 to 1965 and that similar Aston Martin DB5 auctioned in February had been sold for€840,000.

Pictures show the vehicle reduced to a crumpled wreck after a crash involving a Vauxhall Astra in the UK.
