1959 Aston Martin DB4 GT

For some, the standard DB4 just wasn’t enough... and thus was the DB4 GT created. With its wheelbase shortened by five inches, it became one of the great racers of its era. Less length meant less weight and the twin-plug engine meant more power (302bhp), so it was a fast machine. Later versions had faired-in headlamps, adopted as standard on the succeeding DB5. Zagato built 19 versions with an even sleeker, sexier body and 314bhp, 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of over 150mph. Very exhilarating – but one will cost you three times the GT price.
