1967 AC AC 428 Convertible

Soft-top version of the Frua-styled Mistral lookalike is even rarer than the coupé with just 29 of them finding homes between 1969 and ’73. A phenomenal performer, with sub-six-second 0-60 times, even in more popular automatic gearbox form, they somehow manage to feel lazy and laid-back at the same time. Excellent chassis makes sure it is more than a dragster, with neutral handling, almost too much feedback from the rack-and-pinion steering, plus more than sufficient stopping power from Girling discs and twin servos. Only the rather bland interior is likely to disappoint.
