1982 Toyota Celica Supra

Known as the Celica XX in Japan, the Celica Supra was heavily based on the Toyota Celica range. The major difference between the two was the use of an in-line six cylinder engine up front, which gave Toyota a direct rival to the Capri 2.8i and Alfa GTV6 in Europe. The power output started out at a reasonable 174bhp, but this rose to 178bhp later in the Supra’s life. Even with this power output, the Celica Supra was always more of a luxury barge than a sports car. Once popular in the ‘drift’ scene, these cars are now emerging as true classics.
