1995 Mazda RX-7 Version 3 Type R Bathurst X

777 of these luxury tourers were produced in 1995. With most cars having the bathurst name since 1994, this version simply raised the spec a little more with red leather seats, a Momo steering wheel and gun metallic coloured 16" rims from the original 92 RZ. The rear wing was standard and window glass was tinted grey. A "Special X Sticker" was also added to the pillar behind the door.

Fashion colours of Black Red and White Red were stated by Mazda to be of a high contrast design. This was a cruiser through and through. A pretty car without the hard edge of the RZ. The four seat leather version made for Japanese elders that still like a bit of a fast weekend ride.

These cars started the "cool" white FD look and the leather was a very desirable item.
