1962 Daimler 2.5-litre/V8 250

1959’s Mk2 was the archetypal Jaguar saloon of the Sixties; Daimler’s version saw the 2548cc V8 from the SP250 roadster dropped under the bonnet. The two suited each other well with the handsome and refined curvy body complemented by the smooth and sophisticated power source. Arguably, the Daimler was a nicer car to drive than the Jaguar thanks to the engine’s light weight and the eight cylinders endowing it with silky flexibility. Just imagine what it would have been like with the 4561cc version of the V8 as well...
