1967 Jaguar 340

With the XJ6 still a couple of years from production, the 240/340 ended up serving run-out duties for the Mk2 line for longer than anyone it Coventry would have hoped. But despite its advancing years, the 340 was still a car of great ability and proved a hit with buyers. With the same 210bhp engine as before, all of the performance that attracted buyers to the 3.4-litre Mk2 was there, but in a lower-priced package. Today, values lag behind the earlier cars because of their cost-constrained interiors, so for canny buyers, the 340 is a worthwhile purchase.
