Project Monica: 2004 BMW E46 M Sport

Project Monica: 2004 BMW E46 M Sport

The fourth generation BMW 3 series built from 1998 to 2006 ... and this beautiful facelift model caught our eye. So much in fact it was the main reason we ended the 10 year relationship with Tracey our 1994 Honda Civic EG9. The car we picked out was the M Sport trim which meant it had so many extras than the regular E46, such as: Ancatara Black seats and headliner, cd changer, steering wheel controls, armrest, M Sport bumpers, rear diffuser, msport side skirts, carbon fiber interior trim, 17" Staggered Msport Alloys, auto windows, alarm, dsc traction control, shadow line black high gloss window trim and grill, led daylights, fog lights, original floormats .....

Log

November 2011

We have hand picked and imported this genuine BMW from UK, which appealed to us for its factory fitted M Sport package. It had only has 54000 miles and although its slow (316i model), its the most economic petrol BMW has in its  range - the modern N42 engine found in newer BMWs with only 172g/km emissions which is good for a 2004 model.

January 2017

Long due update on our BMW E46, and unfortunately it's all about  us selling her last November '16 to make room for another car. She was great to drive, never missed a beat and  in my opinion the greatest looking sedan during it's time that still looks great today. We've sold here with 80k miles, that's us making only 26k miles in 5 years which is part of the reason on selling her on. She was a great car in all, just the economic engine was a let down for me, if only it had the 6 cylinder engine it would have been the perfect all rounder. The car was in mint condition and is why we hadn't the heart to do an engine swap, and decided to sell because another interesting car came onto the market. We never got in doing anything in our wishlist, however we done some oem BMW upgrades:
  • Xenon Headlight units
  • Power Folding Mirrors
  • Homelink rear view mirror
If there is any request for the above retrofits, please get in contact.
