1946 Allard L

If you enjoy your Allard-shaped kicks with the kids in the back seats then the Allard L and M are just the ticket. Effectively just a K1 with a six-inch wheelbase stretch (to 112in) and a pair of occasional seats in the rear, the additional model in the Allard line-up proved surprisingly popular. The M added some civilities such as coil-sprung suspension (from 1949) and a column gearchange. Although most UK cars were fitted with Ford Pilot engines, many were shipped overseas without a powertrain, leaving the owner to chose a more suitable local engine.
